• The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is an annual event held every June, in Guingxi, China.
• Every year, an estimated 10,000 dogs are needlessly paraded in the streets in wooden crates and metal cages.
• Then, they're skinned and cooked, and then eaten by festival visitors and local residents.

Help us to end kill shelters:

• Every day, almost 5500 cats and dogs are killed in America's animal shelters.
• This happens when a shelter becomes overpopulated. Animals that have not yet found a forever home are euthanised in order to free up space for new cats and dogs coming in to the shelter.
